Qugu

3rd July 2018: I woke up at about 6:00am. I came outside the room. I met Dharampal Ji who offered me my favorite BournVita with a smile. Then I went outside the camp & met Suraj who asked me to continue the walking as it would be an open meadow. He instructed me the road also. I had handed over my bag to Dharamapl Ji & started walking. It was crack of dawn. Our path was between the green meadow sometime ascent and then decent. I met some people from a private group also.

As we proceeded further, we were able to see the Gurla Mandhata and after some time Mansarovar at a distance. There was the last assent & then steep descent. After the assent, there was a plain land with lots of bolder were lying here & there looked like a little baby just left them & might be hiding somewhere near the place. Dharampal Ji suggested to take a photo & he took some photos of me.

Within half an hour we reached the flat land where our bus had waited for us. We were waiting for some more time for other co-yatris who were not able to reach there. This was the time to say goodbye to Chines pony & porters

We came back to the Darchen Guesthouse and picked up our main luggage. Lots of local people together there with their temporary souvenir stalls. Some yatris bought some Rudraksha chain. All were happy to complete the Kailash parikrama. Our next destination was Qugu, near the pious Mansarovar lake.

Our bus left Darchen & started for Qugu. The path was across the Mansarovar bank. This also considered the parikrama of Mansarovar. Within one and half hour, we reached Qugu guest house which was situated on the bank of Mansarovar. You can view the pious Mansarovar from your bed through the large window. There was a large boundary wall with a large gate. Our bus took the entry to the premises.

A large 6 beds room was allocated to us. The kitchen was in other building, just outside the main building. There was a large green billiard board was in front of the two building. There was 3-4 toilet a little bit far away from the main building with proper facilities. There was a double wall & wooden floor in our room to prevent the cold & chilly wind. The beds were lined along with the wall. So there was ample space in the middle of the room. There were two large windows and if you looked outside there was no way to skip the view of Mansarovar with a background of large white Mt. Kailash.

I just entered the room & put my bag in one of the bed and went outside. My destination was the bank of Mansarovar. I read a lot about this pious lake so many times and decided to spend some time alone there. Outside the boundary, I found a wooden plank went inside some part of the water, I just went & took a set. As the lake had some small but never-ending wave and each time it touches the wooden log, it gave the feeling that I was inside the water. As there were no human beings at that part it gave me a unique feeling. After some time Smriti & Arvind came, they started to take pictures. The sky was cloudy and it was started drizzling. I did not like to get wet so decided to go back to the room. Our tea was served inside the kitchen room. It was a large room containing some long metal benches, single beds & some chairs. There was some biscuits, dry fruits along with hot tea.

Some yatris decided to take bath. Suraj instructed us to take the bucket from the kitchen. As taking a dip is restricted, so yatris were requested to take water from the lake & bath on the shore. As it was approx 12:30pm So water should be warm. So yatris could take bath if they want. Yatris were too much in hurry to get pious by taking bath. They felt the taking bath would wash all their sin. I was not feeling any interest to take bath as I know my body better than anyone. So I decided not to take bath irrespective of had not had a bath in the last few days.

Every one of Suraj's team was busy to prepare for lunch. I asked to help them. Though I did not like cooking as I had no other tasks on hand & outside it was raining, so I decided to stay inside the kitchen.

They happily accepted my offer. I cut some carrots and some vegetables and starting to chitchat. I saw some yatris to go to the Mansarovar lake to take bath. After lunch, I was sitting inside my room, looking at the Mansarovar, one of Suraj's team member informed me, that Suraj asked me to come with him. I did not understand why Suraj was asking for me. I just followed him. Suraj was outside the room. He told me to follow him. They had a room opposite our main building. It was a private room. I saw Shobha, Dharampal Ji & other members were there inside the room. They offered me some meat in a large bowl. I was more than happy. Actually in the morning, during our chit-chat, I told them I eat everything. As they ate meat, so they offered me. I happily accepted the offer.

The meat was not so tasty, might be I was eating it after some long days or the taste was not really good. But anyway I finished it. Anyway, after completing it, I came back to my room and did not disclose it as there were so many PIOUS people whose sin would be increased only hear the non-veg food.

we decided to take a stroll. We, Soma, Enakshi, Shruti, Meenakshi started walking along Mansarovar bank. We found Sakshi & Mohit sat there. We crossed them I went to the far end. We found a dead fish, a dead bird which was the proof that the lake is a source of sweet water where fish was also available. We saw some migratory birds inside the water. The cloud, some hill like structure along with the mt. Kailash in the background was amazing. Just like a picture had been drawn by God. Then decided to take a seat there. It was a lonely place. We 3 sat there. Soma sang a Rabindra Sangeet. She has a beautiful voice. The song was perfect for that time & place.

It was about 7:30 pm but still, the sunlight was there. We decided to go back to the room. When we came back we were asked to take dinner. After dinner, some of us gathered in front of the main building & tried to look up the sky. The sky was quite clear and we were able to view all the stars clearly. Some of us use some mobile app to find out the stars. BUt in the clear eye, we were able to find the Venus.

At about 11 pm we decided to go to the Mansarovar shore to view the star falling & view the Gods who used to come to the lake to take bath. I did not believe this legend. I went to go with them to view the star and nightlife of Mansarovar. After wearing all my winter clothes, I wore the bed sheet as it was too much cold outside.

It was shivering. Due to high fog, I was not able to see anything clearly. I saw one falling star & Milkyway but it was not so much clear. We sat near the water. So every time I afraid to get wet. There were some lights were blinking opposite side of the lake. Mohit told that it was the light of the Chinese camp which was situated opposite the bank of the Mansarovar lake. After spending 30-45 mints we decided to come back to the room. Mohit along with Shruti decided to came back again after 1:00 am.

I did not feel any argue to find God. I decided to go under the blanket & sleep. I woke up at about 4:30am & found that though outside was pitch dark, the sky was starry. I just went to the loo & came back to my bed.
