Kailash Mansarovar Subsidy
Some of State Government provides benefits to religious organizations, specifically exempting them from certain taxes and providing a wide array of subsidies to religious pilgrimages.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on 25th Mar’18 announced doubling of financial grant given to pilgrims of Kailash Mansarovar from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh. Yogi also said that the state government will get a Mansarovar Bhawan constructed somewhere near Delhi or any other state for the benefit of the pilgrims.
Here is the list of states that provide subsidies:
U.P, Rajasthan, — Rs 1 Lac
Gujrat-Rs 20, 000
Tamil Nadu, Haryana -Rs 50,000 (Once in life time)
Delhi-Rs 40,000 + 5000
MP,Karnataka-Upto Rs 35,000
Uttarakhand - Rs. 30,000
Chattisgarh-Rs 25,000
For Delhi Govt, you don't need to do anything. It will directly transferred in to your bank a/c. Delhi Govt gives 5K to all pilgrim at the time yatra start which also transferred into their a/c irrespective of the pilgrim's state.
For Haryana Govt, you have to apply through their portal "http://saralharyana.gov.in" on or before Dec (of that particular year). At the time of apply, you have to submit the residency proof & the documents of cost (like the receit of money submitted to KMVN & if you have visa cost, you can submit). After that you will get call/ mail from Haryana Tourist Department & you have to go Chandigarh to collect the Cheque.
For Delhi Govt, you will get the subsidy within one month however, haryana Govt provides the subsidy approx Feb-March End. Same UP govt took the same time (as per 2018 batch)
